Sweetwater Energy, Inc., a Rochester-based renewable energy company, today announced it has hired James Hvisdas as the company’s Vice President of Construction.
“When Jim was at PAETEC, he was known for getting facilities installed on time and on budget, no matter where they needed to be was or what the obstacles were,” says Arunas Chesonis, Chairman and CEO of Sweetwater Energy. “I couldn’t be more pleased to bring him into Sweetwater. I’ve no doubt he’ll be a huge asset in launching our first facilities for our first customers.”

Hvisdas comes to Sweetwater Energy with more than 30 years’ experience in communications and was one of the founders of US LEC Corp. Most recently he served as PAETEC’s Executive Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for company-wide operations, providing executive oversight of engineering, construction, maintenance, and operation of over 380 telecom switch sites, POP sites, and data centers, in addition to having responsibly for Field Forces, Real Estate/Facilities, Security, as well as Power and Environmental Engineering. Prior to joining US LEC, he spent 10 years at Rochester Telephone/Frontier where he held responsibilities for the Carrier and Central Office Installation groups. He also worked for ETS, Contel ASC, and American Satellite.
